Two practical notes. First, a saloon boot that takes two large cases will not take three, no matter how carefully they are arranged — if you are three passengers with three cases, you need the Range Rover or the V-Class. Second, golf clubs, ski bags, pushchairs and cello cases all need mentioning at booking, because they change the answer entirely. Tell us the awkward item and we will match the car to it.
Our most-booked vehicle, and for most journeys the sensible choice. The E-Class carries three passengers and two large cases in a saloon that is quiet, well-appointed and entirely appropriate for executive travel — it simply does not carry the badge weight of an S-Class, which for most journeys is irrelevant. For a solo business traveller heading into the City, a couple travelling from Heathrow with a case each, or a regular airport run where the point is arriving comfortably rather than making an entrance, this is the car that does the job without paying for cabin space that stays empty.

The reference point for chauffeur travel worldwide, and the vehicle clients request when the arrival itself carries weight. Rear passengers get individually adjustable leather seating, four-zone climate control and a cabin quiet enough to take a call on the M4 without apologising for road noise. It seats three with two large cases — the same practical capacity as the E-Class, so the choice between them is about presence rather than space. Where you are being met by a client, arriving at a Mayfair hotel forecourt, or stepping out in front of people whose impression of you matters, the S-Class does that job without needing to announce itself.

A genuine alternative to the S-Class rather than a substitute for it, priced identically and specified to the same standard. The 7 Series has a slightly more driver-focused character and a rear cabin that many clients prefer for working in — reclining seats, four-zone climate, and one of the quietest interiors in its class. Three passengers, two large cases. It suits executive travel where the journey doubles as productive time: an hour between Gatwick and the City with a laptop open, or a call taken properly rather than shouted over road noise. If you have a marque preference, this is the one to state at booking.

The problem-solver, and the vehicle that rescues more bookings than any other in the fleet. Seven passengers and seven large cases fit genuinely — not theoretically — which is why it is the default choice for families arriving on leisure flights with maximum hold allowance, and for corporate groups who would otherwise be split across two cars. Rear seating is arranged for conversation rather than endurance, with generous head and legroom throughout and sliding-door access that makes life considerably easier with children, older passengers or a pushchair. One vehicle, one fixed fare, one chauffeur responsible for the whole party.
Best for: families, group airport transfers, cruise port transfers, corporate teams.
Chosen for presence, and — less obviously — for accessibility. The elevated seating position that gives the Range Rover its commanding road view also makes getting in and out significantly easier for older passengers and anyone with limited mobility, which is why we recommend it more often than its luxury reputation would suggest. Three passengers and three large cases, so it carries more than an equivalent saloon, and the cabin is finished to the same standard as the S-Class. A common request for hotel arrivals, for country-house weddings, and for journeys to properties outside London where the roads are less forgiving than the M25.
