Smart Chauffeurs was founded in 2018 with a simple observation: London had no shortage of ways to get a car, but very few ways to get a genuinely reliable one. Between app-based drivers who cancel at the last minute, minicabs with no fixed fare, and executive services that price by the mile and surprise you at the end, there was a gap for something simpler — a private chauffeur service that tells you the price before you travel, sends the same standard of driver and vehicle every time, and answers the phone when you call.
That idea started with Gulfam Mehmood, who spent 20 years working in London's private hire industry before deciding to build a company around three commitments: fixed pricing with no exceptions, chauffeurs held to a hospitality standard rather than just a driving standard, and a fleet that is never more than a few years old. Today, Smart Chauffeurs operates from our office at 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF, serving clients across London and the wider UK.
